The night is coming to the end and the chaos is just getting started!
DIV 1
Griffin still leads comfortably but we’ve had a change further down!
BnG have missed the entrance to the Corn Trail and run an extra 5km down No Name Mtn Rd. They have turned around but seem to have blown their lead on the rest of the chasing pack led by Lodge.
Fenner, Johns and Wamba aren’t too far behind and even Burg bringing up the rear are still in this race! We’ve seen how quickly things can change and as fatigue sets in, this is only going to get more wild!
Bruce was not far behind Wamba but seem to have misread an intersection as they are now running down Hanns Rd. This only leads further away from EP…
Wright have avoided all Corn Trail problems and are happily chugging along through Quart Pot FT to the south.
Unfortunately, Ursies have had to DNF near Currowan Camp and have been picked up.
DIV 2
BnG, Griffin, Old Fenner and Burg have all made it to the base of the Corn Trail, but none have managed to find the entrance yet. Behind them, New Fenner, Johns & Ursies are making their way towards the checkpoint too!
Wright have overtaken a couple of Div 4&5 teams and are heading towards Shoebridge track, this bold move might still pay off!!
INWARD BOETS have shocked everyone by being the only team to opt for the Corn Trail bushbash! Will they be able to pull it off?
Unfortunately Bruce Div 2 have also DNF’ed and are being picked up.
DIV 3
YKB has lost the lead, running with BnG 1 well past the entrance to the Corn Trail.
In their place, Fenner have taken the front with strong nav! They are being trailed by Johns, Bruce (who also had a small nav wobble) and Griffin, while BnG have made the same mistake as YKB (though not as egregiously!).
Burg, Wamba, Wright & Ursies are on their way to the Corn Trail, we’ll wait and see how they go!
DIV 4
Div 4 is yet to truly heat up but teams are starting to converge towards the top of Merricumbene FT. In the lead for now are Fenner ahead of Johns, who have taken the valley road, and BnG /Griffin, who are leading YKB & Wright along Gollaribee FT. Don’t count out Ursies and Burg though, after a slow start, they have ran strongly along Quart Pot FT and aren’t out of it yet!
Making good progress… Ursies and Burg neck to neck on Quart Pot. Whilst Gollarribee FT continues to be a pack race. Waiting for the undertakers (Fenner) to bring in the RKO (routing knock out) and take the lead.
DIV 5
Div 5 is starting to get interesting. So far only Ursies have taken the flatter option of the Shoebridge Track while all other teams seem to be heading up the escarpment. Griffin and “Trail Boys Jnr” lead the rest, while “SeXy DivXy” seem to have gotten quite lost along Hanns Rd and are falling behind. YKB also seems to have taken Gollaribee Mtn RD away from EP rather than Quart Pot FT but this could be a tracker issue. Keep an eye on this Div!
Johns have made an interesting choice, seemingly heading down Merricumbene FT. This is not a good idea.
DIV 6
Corn Trail chaos continues! Many of the Div X teams missed the entrance and along with BnG 6 have gotten themselves lost. Of the teams on the Corn Trail, YKB currently leads the college teams with Burg, Wright, Griffin, Johns & Bruce in hot pursuit! Wamba & Fenner have just reached the base - can they find the entrance?
On the Div X side, “XXXX” leads, followed by “The Fast and the Furriest” and “At Wit’s End”.
