Division 1

As morning dawns on the IB course, let's take stock of Div 1 so far!

Griffin is by far and away the leading team. While they won't hit their 12 hr goal, they will most likely be first into EP, an incredible achievement! Their nav has been spot on and they deserve this accolade!

Currently BnG hold 2nd spot in the long march up the Corn Trail, despite adding 10 kms to their route by missing the entrance initially! Will this extra distance catch up with them later on?

Behind them, Lodge is just in front of Fenner and Johns on the Corn Trail, while Wamba and Burg are still at the base. Reports had it that one of Burg's runners has been struggling but is starting to recover with a rest at the bottom.

Elsewhere on course, Bruce is chasing Wright along Quart Pot FT. Wright have been consitently chugging along all race and have avoided a lot of the madness that existed elsewhere. Bruce were doing well early but decided to bypass the Corn Trail, instead adding distance (gotta hit that 100 km) and are now also taking the southern route. Hopefully both of these teams take the flatter & shorter option of Shoebridge Track to save their legs!
