Drop Details

Division 4 are dropped on Pistol Shot Rd, just north of it's intersection with Maulbrooks Rd. With 30 minutes to scout & lots of roads around, we hope most teams will be able to pick this dropsite. Fun fact: this dropsite featured in 2022 when most of the Div 1 & 2 teams ran through it on their way to Maloneys Beach.

Routes Overview

Division 4 is really a race of two halves as most route choices will coalesce in at the top of Merricumbene FT. Teams can head north from dropsite and follow Quart Pot Rd, getting wet feet as they encounter 10 river crossings in 3 km! Otherwise teams can head south passing by Wandera Trig, taking either the steep Gollaribee FT or the slightly flatter option of descending to Araluen Rd.

These routes all converge at Merricumbene FT where teams will continue along Gollaribee FT and be faced with another choice. They can either take the Shoebridge Track, following it down to Araluen where they will run up hill to endpoint. Alternatively, teams can keep climbing up the escarpment and make their way through Monga NP and into Reidsdale from the south where they will take Monga Ln to EP.
