Teams in Div 6 are dropped on a 3 way intersection and with only 4 minutes to scout hopefully they'll send one of their navs on a bonus scouting adventure to gain the maximal amount of information.
Teams near need to head south then make a Quick East Along Yellow Rabbit Rd to get to Vainity's Crossing the quickest, teams that head too far south will get stuck on the wrong side of the Cotter River, where as teams that head north will have to take a more scenic route to get there (heading around lightening summit).

The predictor is now up and running!, at the start will be super volatile and likely under estimate time of arrival just after drop (over estimate eventual overall average GAP (Gradient Adjusted Pace)) as typically teams start off hot/fast (see below graph of speeds of historical IB teams) with it taking time for teams to settle in a rhythm and on a route. It also assumes optimal navving which is probably unlikely, only accounting for the terrain and distance of the optimal route ahead. This means it will also not consider other factors that may slow a team down like a trail being overgrown… Read more.
