Bruce 6, who were mere metres away from the Corin Road exclusion zone, have made a successful recovery. They have lost a lot of ground, but that’s a far better outcome than disqualification.

Bruce 6 has made the same mistake as B&G 6 and has overshot a turn-off along the Endpoint approach. It looks like B&G were able to recover fairly quickly. Let’s hope Bruce can too…

Bruce Division 6 are playing a very dangerous game here. After falling into the Devils Gap Trap, they’ve been following a (valid) track that is very, very close to the excluded section of Corin Road. They have now reached the end of that track. Will they make the right decision and change course? Or will they enter the exclusion zone?…

Just like their Division 1 counterparts, they’ve missed a turn-off here. Hopefully they catch themselves at the upcoming intersection!…

This is another CP of which teams must pass through one, we suspect this to be the busiest of them with Divs 1,3, 4, 6, & 7 able to pass through here…

Spare a thought for our poor Division 6 teams, who are getting their feet wet right at the start of their 50 km trek. Not a comfortable experience……

Teams have left the Division 6 Dropsite in every direction! This is very exciting. It’s highly likely that most of these teams have a ver limited idea of where they currently are…

Teams in Div 6 are dropped on a 3 way intersection and with only 4 minutes to scout hopefully they'll send one of their navs on a bonus scouting adventure to gain the maximal amount of information…

The predictor is now up and running!, at the start will be super volatile and likely under estimate time of arrival just after drop (over estimate eventual overall average GAP (Gradient Adjusted Pace)) as typically teams start off hot/fast (see below graph of speeds of historical IB teams) with it taking time for teams to settle in a rhythm and on a route. It also assumes optimal navving which is probably unlikely, only accounting for the terrain and distance of the optimal route ahead. This means it will also not consider other factors that may slow a team down like a trail being overgrown…

On the map they are thin red lines, and in IB they are the thin red line which if you cross you get disqualified/risk your safety…
