IB runners: a force for good

While running through Booroomba Station, Griffin 6 came across a young lamb all alone in the paddocks. They were able to alert on-course volunteers who have now co-ordinated with the property owners to make sure the lamb is okay. How lovely 🥰

The predictor is now up and running!, at the start will be super volatile and likely under estimate time of arrival just after drop (over estimate eventual overall average GAP (Gradient Adjusted Pace)) as typically teams start off hot/fast (see below graph of speeds of historical IB teams) with it taking time for teams to settle in a rhythm and on a route. It also assumes optimal navving which is probably unlikely, only accounting for the terrain and distance of the optimal route ahead. This means it will also not consider other factors that may slow a team down like a trail being overgrown… Read more.
