DESCRIPTION: “IT WAS NEVER ABOUT BEING NICE”
Rumour has it that Kylie might be bringing old Wright merch on IB this year…though she declares to run under the redback flag now, there are still fears that she is secretly a sleeper agent activated by the phrase “scouts go”.
SUSPECT TWO: TOBY KITCHEN
ROLE: ASS NAV, UNDERGROUND GEL MANUFACTURER
KNOWN ALLEGIANCES: YUKEEMBRUK, GRIFFIN
DESCRIPTION: “VETERAN’S BENEFITS HERE ARE SHIT”
Rumoured to live with a Griffin runner and even having been spotted training with Yukeembruk, it is clear that Toby will do anything for that ever-elusive “IB Clout”, even if it means forcing unsuspecting teammates up gratuitous vert.
SUSPECT THREE: HELENA WIDENBORG
ROLE: SCOUT, DOUBLE AGENT
KNOWN ALLEGIANCES: BRUCE HALL
A true defector, Helena has come straight from the enemy camp to join B&G’s campaign. Though it took her a year to scout out the competition at Bruce, it’ll only take her a handful of minutes to expertly scout the course.
SUSPECT FOUR: SUMI KONG
ROLE: SCOUT, MOLE
KNOWN ALLEGIANCES: B&G
Sumi is the secret mole, planted among the other miscreants. A true B&G loyalist, her task is to resist the defectors and guide the team home to victory. Her pure and genuine allegiance to B&G will be a strong force within the team.

The predictor is now up and running!, at the start will be super volatile and likely under estimate time of arrival just after drop (over estimate eventual overall average GAP (Gradient Adjusted Pace)) as typically teams start off hot/fast (see below graph of speeds of historical IB teams) with it taking time for teams to settle in a rhythm and on a route. It also assumes optimal navving which is probably unlikely, only accounting for the terrain and distance of the optimal route ahead. This means it will also not consider other factors that may slow a team down like a trail being overgrown… Read more.
