  At the Quart Pot Rd x Ross Ridge Rd fork, Bruce div 1 and Bruce div 2 have each gone their own way. Distance-wise, both routes to the same point Runnyford Road are comparable, though because it follows the river, the eastern way is less hilly.   It is a close race over 20kms into Division 1/2 at the front between Bruce 1, Bruce 2, B&G 1 and Griffin 1! The Bruce teams and B&G all took Pistol Shot Road, but Griffin seems to have taken a route on minor forestry roads mostly used by dirt bikes, slowing them down somewhat, as they're just reaching a major road again now.   From what I can see, B&G Divs 1and 2 are leading the pack ... in the wrong direction! Bruce has gained a HUGE early advantage by being a bit slower out of the drop but in the right direction.
