Armed with not one, not two, but eight (currently) functional shins, Division 7 are shin it to win it. But who are these holy heroes, for whom failure is not an opshin?
Tom
Fresh out of his gap-year in Shindabyne, where he further developed his love for wandering through the bush, passhin for all things maps, Tom’s navving skills are simply shinspirational. As he’ll tell you “Know where I am, know where I was, know where I’m going”.
Bea
Like Shin and Yang, Bea balances the nav for this squad. With a perfect sense of directshin, her skills are the bee’s knees - or rather, the Bea's shins? Bea’s keen eye for detail and mapping prowess will allow her to flawlessly lead the squad to end point, or a nice grassy patch to have a little lie down.
Peter
A man on a misshin, Peter’s impressive resume of hiking and ultra races makes him an incredible asset for the team, and his shin turbo engine is revving and ready to go. Fueled by the smell of a red sharpie, Peter is a professional racecar driver and should the deadly shins encounter a rogue piano on course, he’s the man for the job.
Nina
Powered by bubble-tea, the go-go juice of choice for all serious runners, Nina is not just here for the shins and giggles (QUIET AT DROP). Hailing from the mountains where she walked 100km to and from school uphill both ways, Nina’s prepared to whip this team on the flats and up the elevashin.

Div 7's Drop is a bit of a classic on the edge of Pierce's Creek Pine Forest along Ash Rd. Teams should hopefully identify Tidbinbilla range to the west an relatively quickly head south and onto Oakey Creek Road before navigating the rest of course. Teams that head north should also hit Oakey Creek Road just about 2km earlier adding another ~ 15 minutes to their run. Hopefully no team heads up the firetrail to tidbinbilla ridge firetrail, as this will add ton ton of vert and likely over an hour of running time but at least they will get nice views of the sunrise from up there. … Read more.

The predictor is now up and running!, at the start will be super volatile and likely under estimate time of arrival just after drop (over estimate eventual overall average GAP (Gradient Adjusted Pace)) as typically teams start off hot/fast (see below graph of speeds of historical IB teams) with it taking time for teams to settle in a rhythm and on a route. It also assumes optimal navving which is probably unlikely, only accounting for the terrain and distance of the optimal route ahead. This means it will also not consider other factors that may slow a team down like a trail being overgrown… Read more.
