I’m logging off for the day. I’m going to try to get some sleep before an early start tomorrow morning. For those reading this live, I highly recommend you do the same. If you’re determined to stay up through the night, you can expect pretty barebones coverage:

• A post when each division is dropped.

• One post per hour with general race updates.

• A post for any critical updates, such as a tracker failure or a DNF.

Thank god for time zones. I’d also love to mention that the lack of detail is not at all a reflection of their ability – I’m certain they would commentate the entire race themselves if I let them – but rather a reflection of our desire as a committee to get people to bed.

Starting early tomorrow morning, full coverage will begin. Each commentator will be introduced as they log on and they’ll all cover a division (in many cases, one that is close to their hearts). We’ll fill you in on everything that happened overnight and closely follow teams’ every move until they reach endpoint.
